Radiant Software, Inc. (Radiant) was formed in 1999 to provide innovative pen computing software to state/province and local government for more effective field data collection.  Recently Radiant expanded into the property tax industry with the acquisition of TerraSoft Systems, Inc. assets including its user-friendly computer assisted mass appraisal (CAMA), assessment administration (AA), tangible personal property (TPP), and tax collection (TAX) software and its experienced staff.

Radiant specializes in software for the property tax industry which leverages Geographic Information Systems (GIS) through immersion. GIS is critical to the land resource management operations of government.  Immersion minimizes the cost and complexity found in software integration.  Instead of building a separate system and then trying to integrate with GIS, we immerse the system directly in the GIS to take advantage of its many features including a geodatabase, workflow, user interfaces, etc.  Immersing software in GIS facilitates and simplifies geographic support for all land resource management functions.

This translates into highly qualified systems design, development, consulting, installation, training, and post implementation support.  We have developed and installed software successfully on millions of residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, exempt and special purpose properties in hundreds of jurisdictions in more than 25 states and provinces throughout North America and the Caribbean including state and province-wide installations.  The generic nature of the software combined with its ease of use have contributed to our ability to readily move it to any state, and to implement and train with minimal disruption to existing operations in jurisdictions with as few as 1,500 parcels to over 1,000,000 parcels.

Our hand-held systems were the first of their kind in continuous operation in the United States.  We were also the first to develop easy to operate pen computer software to facilitate field data collection for assessors.  These systems have evolved into our present Mobilyst- systems which allow the user to download the data for those parcels which require inspection or review to a pen computer which then fully edits the data in the field including drawing the building, checking for closure, and accurately calculating the building area. The data then is uploaded to the host computer where it interactively updates the database.
